My Marriage Is Making Me Depressed

I was providing a little marriage advice to a couple who had some pretty serious marriage problems. After a few weeks it started to become clear there was more at the bottom of the problems than I was being led to believe. For more informative blogs visit Place Do

Upon digging a little deeper I found what I felt was the crux of the problem. My marriage is making me depressed  You see when the couple married they were madly truly deeply in love and they both agreed with that but now he had turned into a couch potato that is someone who sits around watching Television and not doing things with more meaning every day, day after day marriage is making me depressed. Then on Saturdays, he would have a couple of friends around to watch the afternoon game and drink quite a bit while doing that. He could not see the harm in it because his wife had always worked Saturdays! He also had a very demanding job working from 6 am to 3.30 pm throughout the week.

My marriage is making me depressed Looking to find out more so I could provide the best marriage advice that would better assist them, I asked if the Husband was always like this and after some carefully worded questions found that the husband use to play sports on Saturdays.

It turned out that the wife never liked sports of any description and it was because she was not very coordinated so she was never very good at anything she tried! Probing deeper we discovered his wife disliked sport that much and he enjoyed it immensely she felt like he was doing things without her so she was quite concerned this would lead to the downfall of her marriage.

Therefore she set out to change her husband! Convince him not to play sports so he could be with her. He had 2 training sessions during the week from 4 to 7 pm and played Saturday afternoon either from 1.30 to 3.00 pm or from 3.30 to 5.00 pm and he usually stayed to watch the late game if he played early or would watch the early game if he played late. My marriage is making me depressed This would not make any difference to his wife if you stopped to think about it because she worked Saturdays anyway.

She eventually got to nagging at him to stop playing and for the sake of peace he did, however, he resented it very much. Having nothing to do now on the days he use to train, to his wife’s chagrin he would come home like any other night and sit in front of the Television. Then when she came home from work on Saturday to a house full of drink bottles and 4 rowdy half-drunk men she was not impressed at all, to say the least. This then became the basis of most of their marriage problems and I found out there were more compromises he had made for her also however he was not entirely innocent…

After some ongoing marriage advice, I am happy to say everything is back in working order and they have found that very first love they had when they were married and things could not be better.

So the warning here is crystal clear, My marriage is making me depressed  Husbands do not try to change the woman you fell in love with and wives don’t you try to change the man you fell in love with because you may end up despising the person you have just created!

On giving you the marriage advice of not trying to change each other, I am talking about matters of preference not about things that are of such a serious nature that it could bring harm to your marriage. Say for instance if the husband played sports 7 nights a week then you could look at that as a problem.
